About St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church
St Mary Magdalene Anglican Church is a beautiful little church in the district of Bornova.  It was originally built to serve the Whittall family and other English expatriates in the late 19th century (see 'History').  There is a service once a week, on Tuesdays at 5.00 pm, to which all are welcome.  This is the best time to view the church, which is generally not open to the public except at this time.  We also hold services at Christmas and Easter and on the Feast of St Mary Magdalene (22 July).  All our services are in English, and follow the rites of the Church of England.  The church is served by the Chaplain and congregation of St John the Evangelist Church, Alsancak, Izmir.
